How can I vary my ex-husband's access rights?

by Conrad Murray last modified 2007-04-05 06:50

My ex-husband was granted access once a fortnight but has shown little interest in the children and we never know whether he is going to turn up or not. Is there any way I can get his access rights reduced (or even eliminated) so at least we have some certainty.

If there is a Court Order in place then you can apply back to the Court to vary the terms of the existing Order.

The Court will take into account the fact that your husband rarely adheres to the terms of the Order. At the very least referring the matter back to Court may concentrate your husband's mind and he may start to regularly see the children.

You are best to seek specific legal advice in respect of the circumstances of your particular situation.
